Elegant, long buds unfurl to display double, high-centered, pure red blooms. Do no confuse this Hybrid Tea with an earlier 'Olympiad' , raised in 1931 by Pernet-Ducher and also known as 'Madame Raymond Gaujard'. It was a red blend. This rose is a cross of the Hybrid Teas 'Red Planet' and 'Pharaoh'.
