Bloom of the Day

Gruss an Teplitz
Of wildly mixed ancestry, this was rose was raised by Rudolph Geschwind of Karpona, Hungary and introduced by Peter Lambert of Trier, Germany in 1897.
The parentage is complex; one parent was an unnamed seedling and the other another unknown tea rose.  The result from this anonymous one night stand is a free flowering, sweet scented rose.
