Bloom of the Day

Roseraie de l'Hay
A Hybrid Rugosa raised in France by Cochet-Cochet in 1901, from a seedling of R. rugosa. It is named after the famous French rose garden and the fragrance is to dye for!!!!

Bloom of the Day

Roseraie de l'Hay

It is not clear whether this rose, which apparently originated at the great rose garden whose name it bears, was a seedling of, or a sport from, a wild form of R. rugosa, but it is as outstanding bloom.

Bloom of the Day

Frau Dagmar Hastrup

Huge single flowers are clear pink with delicate but noticeable veining and amber stamens. This flower is a bumble bee magnet, from morning to dust you will find a bumble bee in any one of its blooms.

Bloom of the Day

Frau Dagmar Hartopp
Call it by any one of its names, this is perhaps the best of all the Rugosas for a small garden. The blooms are single, sweetly fragrant and a most attractive shade of pale, cool pink.

Bloom of the Day

Frau Dagmar Hartopp
Established in 1914 this rose is also recognized as Dargmar Hastrup and is a Hybrid Rugosa. Months of blooms, splendid color, compact growth and excellent disease resistance - this rose has it all.
It is her first growing season in my garden and is potted.
